Fire suppressants

A number of South African conservators are disturbed at current
replacement of Halon with carbon dioxide in local institutions, in terms
of recent legislation.

We are under the impression that CO2  has been superseded elsewhere.
What developments on Inergen, reported in Abbey Newsletter 18,#4-5, p42?
We would appreciate an update from anyone with recent experience.
