Historic preservation professional qualification standards

It may be useful to bring to the attention of the relevant authorities
at your National Parks Service the April '95 meeting on this subject,
organised by ICOM (International Council on Museums)--Conservation
Committee, Working Group on Training and Education, entitled: A
qualified community: towards internationally agreed standards of
qualification for conservation.

That should be motivation for the NPS to send a representative to the
meeting; the matter is crucial to the development of a professional
ethic; I'd love to be there myself!
