Damaged CDs

I would guess that the problem of the damaged CDs is not a result of
moisture buildup but of moisture retention from the RH in the building
in India where they were packed, compounded buy a rise in the RH when
the package entered a cooler climate.  The still air in the package
would have encouraged mold growth.
