Labels for polyester folders

Can anyone tell me of a source for *permanent* self-sticking labels?
I've been using 3/4" round white Avery labels for years on the outside
of polyester transfer folders, to identify various prints housed within.
The labels last for about 10 years and then dry up and fall off. The
archival house catalogs advertise permanent labels for identifying
plastic slide mounts, but I haven't noticed anything else. The slide
mount labels are about 1 1/2" x 1/4" inches in size, not impossible for
my purposes but not really what I want, which is just what I'm using
(3/4" white circles) except permanent.
