Scotch Removable Magic Tape

From: Eric van der Luft <lufte>

Is Scotch Removable Magic Tape appropriate for affixing acquisitions
slips, cataloging notes, etc., to newly received books in process? Our
turnaround time between receiving a new book and getting it to the shelf
is usually only a few months and hardly ever more than a year.

    * Is this tape safe for all paper and binding surfaces? For how
        long?

    * Will it lift certain kinds of inks from certain kinds of paper
after a certain period of time?

    * Will it leave a mark on paper after a certain period of time?

    * Will it tear paper after a certain period of time?

    * How stable is the tape chemically?

Expert answers to these questions would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
