AGM and Conservation Workshop Program
Cape Town, November 1994

The South African Paper Conservation Group has been in existence for 9
years. It concerns itself with the continued education of its members
and other interested parties, in the preservation of paper artefacts,
manuscripts and library materials.

The Annual General Meeting will be held in Cape Town on 16 November
1994, and following this, the South African Paper Conservation Group is
offering four workshops which will be presented on the 17th and 18th
November 1994. Two workshops will run concurrently and will be repeated,
thereby enabling all participants to attend all four workshops during
the two days.

Topics to be presented are as follows:

    *   After the flood--disaster planning
        by Sally and Alan Barclay

    *   Conservation mounting and framing
        by Gerda Engelbrecht and Joanne Bibby

    * Basic principles of photographic conservation
        by Jean Small

    *   Display cradles for books
        by Johann Maree.
