Security strips

From: Wes Boomgaarden <boomgaarden.1>

In this library, I'm closely involved with purchasing decisions for
theft detection strips (aka "tattletapes"). Recently I've noticed an
increased competitiveness in the market with at least three (3)
firms--3M, Knogo, and (now) Checkpoint--manufacturing and marketing this
type of security device.

My query to readers of the Cons DistList is one in which I am seeking

    a) experience of DistList readers who have purchased and used
security strips from *non-3M* sources; and

    b) examples of written specifications for the purchase of security
        strips.

I would appreciate responses being sent directly to me; I will
summarize the results of this survey to the List later. (This query has
not yet been posted to the circulation listserv.)

Thank you.
