Disaster response manual available

Miriam Kahn, preservation consultant at MBK CONSULTING, has published
and is distributing a disaster recovery manual to supplement disaster
preparedness plans.  The manual entitled "First Steps for Handling &
Drying Water Damaged Materials" describes how to deal with wet materials
in simple language and diagrams.  The instructions and diagrams are
printed on uncoated card stock and come in a looseleaf binder.  Simple
disaster response procedures are listed in the beginning along with an
abbreviated list of supplies, disaster recovery firms and suppliers.  A
short bibliography is appended.

The diagrams and instructions are designed for use during disaster
preparedness training and, of course, when responding to a disaster.

Cost: $35 plus $5 s/h each.
