Library Manager
Bindery and Book Repair Unit

Responsible for the daily operations of the Unit including the efficient
functioning of both commercial and in-house binding procedures and the
management of records and statistics.  Reports to the Head, Preservation
Department.

Requirements:  college or university degree, or equivalent experience;
skills in bookbinding and book repair as demonstrated through formal
training or a portfolio of work; ability to teach and direct others in
bookbinding and book repair techniques; ability to organize work and
supervise staff; ability to organize and maintain accurate records and
to interact favorably with staff, faculty and commercial binders;
knowledge of sound conservation practices and familiarity with regional
and national preservation activities.

Previous related experience desired; knowledge of foreign language
preferred.

Appointment range:  $23,550-28,250 based upon experience.
