Science for Conservators books

On a recent visit to the Philadelphia Museum of Art museum store, I
purchased the long-out-of-print and difficult-to-obtain "Science for
Conservators" series originally published by the Crafts Council in
England in 1983.  All three volumes (1. An Introduction to Materials,
2. Cleaning, and 3. Adhesives and Coatings) have been reissued in the
U.S. by The Conservation Unit of the Museums & Galleries Commission
and Routledge Publishers.  The only revision seems to be an
additional "recommended reading" bibliography to complement each
