Room shortage at AIC meeting

From: Ellen McCrady <czbb064>

This is an alert to people who have not yet booked their rooms for the
AIC convention. Just about the only rooms left in Nashville, or for 40
miles around, for the week of the AIC conference (June 6-12) are at the
Stouffer Nashville, where a single costs $110 a night, and where there
are no rooms available for Saturday June 11. (Another hotel in town has
some Saturday rooms, however; ask AIC)

The shortage of space is because of a country music event called
Fanfare. Here are some of the alternatives I have been considering, for
myself or others: a) Find someone who already has a reservation and ask
them if they are willing to share; or set up some kind of centralized
roommate service. b) Get together with a bunch of other people, rent a
car, find rooms at an outlying town, and drive in daily. c) Stay with
friends or family in the area, if you have any. d) Stay in a youth
hostel, or a recreational vehicle. e) Stay in a bed & breakfast; there
are a few vacancies left. f) Skip this meeting.
