Preservation Administrators Discussion Group

ALA Midwinter

The following information was supplied by Don Thompson, Preservation
Librarian, Doheny Library, University of Southern California, Los
Angeles.  As you may have guessed, he is otherwise occupied at the
present time!

PADG is scheduled to meet on Friday February 4, 1994, at 9:00 am in the
Taper Auditorium of the Los Angeles Public Library.  Beginning at 2:30
LAPNet will present a 2-hour program featuring area luminaries
discussing library resources and local efforts to preserve those
resources.  At approximately 4:30 pm, a reception in the patio adjoining
the Auditorium will begin.  The LAPL is on fifth Street between Flower
and Grand in downtown LA.

    **** Moderator's comments: Janet Gertz sent a similar message,
    adding about the 2:30 session: "Needless to say, the aftermath of
    the earthquake will be a major topic. Julie Arnott wrote to add that
    "CPPDG (Cooperative Preservation Programs Discussion Group) is
    invited to attend the LAPNet program IN LIEU of our regular meeting
