Permanence of platinotypes

From: Luis Nadeau <lnadeau>

Photographs made of platinum metal are said to be extremely permanent,
on account of the platinum's resistance to the effect of other
chemicals. Platinum is a formidable catalyst however and has been
reported to have a detrimental effect on cellulose material.

For an upcoming book on platinum printing, I would like to hear from
people who have examined a significant number of platinotypes and have
their impression regarding conservation problems associated with
platinum images.
