Se-lin tape

Recently Vernon Library Supplies sent us a sample roll of their Se-lin
tape for call numbers.  I am concerned about the color of the adhesive.
It leaves a brown stain on the book even if it has only been on for a
few hours.  It also seems to come off very easily.  Does anyone use the
Vernon product and what is your opinion of it?  How does it compare to
the product put out by Gaylord?

Any information would be helpful.
