Document Repair Tape

I am interested in knowing that latest information on Archival Products'
Document Repair Tape. The product literature claims that it is archival
and implies that it is safe to use on documents. Does anyone have more
recent test results that the 1988 article that was published in the
Abbey Newsletter [Dec. 1988, v.12 #8 p.145] I understand the company has
been working with the adhesive to make it last longer and not be as
harmful. Is this true. Would you recommend its use?
