Opportunity for career growth in a dynamic collections conservation
program in a recently renovated and re-equipped book and paper
conservation laboratory, working with highly skilled and dedicated
professional, technical, student, and volunteer staff.

The Collections Conservation Unit of the Preservation Office of
Princeton University Libraries has an opening as a Treatments Specialist
II.  This is a mid-level collections conservation technical support
staff position and is subject to collective bargaining.   The person we
wish to hire must have good hand skills, especially in book repair, to
perform an array of collections conservation treatments and must have
good organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.  This person
must have supervisory experience to oversee student assistants and must
have computer experience, preferably with the Macintosh.  Preference
will be given to candidates with collections conservation and
bookbinding experience and preference will also be given to candidates
with experience in desktop publishing programs or page layout.
Candidates with collections conservation and bookbinding experience will
be asked to provide examples of their latest work during the interview.
The beginning salary for this position is $17,978.  The University also
provides excellent health insurance and other benefits. Candidate
interview and, as applicable, moving expenses are not reimbursable by
