New PLMS discussion group

The Preservation Issues in Small to Mid-Sized Libraries Discussion Group
(part of ALA's ALCTS/PLMS the Preservation of Library Materials
Section/Association of Library Collections and Technical Services,
American Library Association) will meet for the first time on Saturday,
June 26, 1993 at 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM in Room 102 of the New Orleans
Convention Center.  Anyone with an interest in preservation programs for
college or research library collections of fewer than four million
volumes is invited to attend. The organizers hope the discussion group
will identify common concerns, facilitate co-operative action and
resource sharing, and develop a sense of the types of preservation
programs which are appropriate for these collections.
