Some of you may not yet have heard of the untimely death of Myra Jo
Moon, Preservation Librarian at Colorado State University, on March 15
after a brief illness. Myra Jo had been with CSU since 1965. She
founded the CSU Libraries' preservation program, and was in addition an
indefatigable consultant and workshop presenter throughout the state of
Colorado.

Myra Jo was a founding member of the Colorado Center for the Book, the
Colorado Library Association Preservation Roundtable, and the Colorado
Preservation Alliance. At the time of her death, she was working with
the Colorado Preservation Alliance as project director for an LSCA grant
to develop a state preservation plan. She died after completing the
plan, but before she could see the finished project, which has been
dedicated to her memory.
