Marking

Catalogers in this library mark the call number on the title page in
pencil.  On papers that are very dark or glossy, the pencil is often
almost impossible to see.  We are interested on knowing how other
libraries handle this problem, particularly on glossy papers when the
whole textblock is the same paper.  Any ideas would be greatly
appreciated.
