Preservation and Conservation Studies of The Graduate School of Library
and Information Science is pleased to announce the availability of
support for students of preservation administration.

A U.S. Department of Education Title IIB Fellowship is available for a
full-time Masters student. The funding includes tuition and fees as
well as a stipend of $5400 for twelve months. Minorities are encouraged
to apply. Applications for the fellowship should be made to the
Graduate School of Library and Information Science to the attention of
Carolyn Harris. Applicants will be considered when they have been fully
admitted to the GSLIS masters program. Applications and admission
material are available from GSLIS. Post-Masters Sixth Year Advanced
Certificate students are eligible to apply for a Preservation Training
Stipend from the National Endowment for the Humanities. The stipend is
$30,000 to complete the 30 credit hour program. Recommendation for an
NEH award does not assure acceptance to GSLIS. Separate application
must be made. Successful experience as a library or archives manager is
required. Institutions are encouraged to sponsor applicants from their
institutions. Guidelines are available from NEH's Division of
Preservation and Access, Washington, D.C. 20506, Phone (202) 606-8570.
