Older "archival" products

The term "archival" essentially has no significant
meaning in preservation.  It doesn't tell the composition
of a material, and therefore it doesn't tell quality or
life expectancy.  I'm not sure the purpose of examining
"archival" products over the last 40 years, but would
be happy to discuss this issue directly if something
would be gained.
