Preservation bibliography available

The Preservation of Library Materials Section (ALA) has published the
second edition of "A Core Collection in Preservation."

Edited by Lisa Fox, preservation program officer, SOLINET and compiled
by Don K. Thompson, preservation librarian, University of Southern
California and Joan ten Hoor, preservation librarian, Newberry Library
for the PLMS Education Committee, this annotated bibliography includes
those publications the committee judges to be useful in preservation
planning and administration.  The books, reports, periodicals and
articles in "A Core Collection in Preservation" cover the spectrum of
library and archival preservation and provide a working resource for
administrators, librarians, archivists, curators, conservators and
others working to preserve our documentary heritage.

"A Core Collection in Preservation" (ISBN 0-8389-7633-6) is $5.00 from
ALA Order Department, 50 E. Huron St., Chicago, IL. 60611. It will also
be available in the ALA Store at the Midwinter Meeting in Denver.
