Bookbinding equipment wanted

From: Nicholas Pickwoad <npick>
Date: Tuesday, January 5, 1993
Harvard University Library has established a new special collections
conservation laboratory to carry out treatments on material in all the
libraries in the Harvard system which comes within the special
collection category. To do this, Elizabeth Morse (Assistant
Conservator) and myself, Nicholas Pickwoad (Chief Conservator) are in
the process of putting together the new lab, currently in space rented
from the Massachusetts Archives until a permanent lab can be established
within the University. We are looking for equipment, particularly good
quality bookbinding equipment - nipping presses, standing presses,
laying presses, finishing presses, sewing frames etc. If you know of, or
have, redundant equipment that could be put to good use, please let us
know.

With thanks in advance

Nicholas Pickwoad
