Channel binding

Re: Julie's inquiry about ChannelBind... I have a couple samples that I
got from that company- soft and hardcover versions. You are essentially
correct in your guess; it is a metal channel that compresses the loose
letter size leaves at the spine edge. The little machine will 'custom'
form the channel to various widths, but the paper must be 11" tall. As
you can further imagine, there is no flexibility in the spine, so
adequate inner margin is necessary. They look pretty slick, but aren't
cheap. Ideal for corporate annual reports, etc., etc. You can get the
full dope on these by calling them as 716-271-4280, faxing them at
716-271-5271, or contacting them through Shirley MacLaine on weekday
evenings....... sk
