Subject: Mid-Atlantic Archivists Conference
I want to publicly commend the program committee of the Mid-Atlantic Archivists Conference (MARAC) for the great meeting held last weekend in New Brunswick, NJ. The theme was preservation and MARAC plans on publishing a symposia volume based upon the papers/presentations given at the meeting. Especially interesting was the two-part session on deacidification which included presentations by: Michael Howe (BPA) Richard Spatz (Book-keeper) Michelle Siegmund (Wei T'O) Robert Wedinger (FMC) Richard F. Miller (DEZ) and the session on preservation educational opportunities (or lack of them) chaired by Richard Cox, School of Library and Information Science, U. of Pitt. That's all for now, Charlotte B.
