I never did get an answer about using Serial ATA.
At the annual Storage Visions Conference in Las Vegas in January,
everyone
was in favor of Serial ATA. Its speed is 3,000 Mbps which is 375 MB per
second.
At 3,000 Mbps, it takes 6 minutes to transfer one hour of uncompressed
NTSC
video/audio.
