membership in either FIAT or FIAF, IASA changed its name and scope -but

not its acronym- several years ago to include all a/v materials, media,

and data).

ARSC =3D Association *FOR* Recorded Sound Collections [emphasis added] =
(not OF)

FIAT =3D F=E9d=E9ration Internationale des Archives de T=E9l=E9vision.
The =
acronym realization you gave is for the English name, or IFTA. I believe
=
that the French is the official name of the federation.

FIAF =3D F=E9d=E9ration International des Archives du Film. As for FIAT,
=
you gave the English realization of the acronym, or IFFA. As for FIAT, I
=
believe that the French is the official name of the body.

but yeah  - I guess I shoulda looked it up. And I SHOULD have gone to
the ARSC conference - got several rave reviews.  Also got some votes for
various org's.  BUT DON'T VOTE NOW - NOW I NEED MORE WORTHY NAMES FOR
THE HOPPER OF POTENTIAL RECEPIANTS -  and of course very eager to get
names of "matchers"........
