[AV Media Matters] Transcript Discs

Hello,

I am starting to look at a collection of Transcript Discs (made between 1946
and 1961) and the medium is a new one for me. Can anyone suggest a good
source of information about them?

The two sources I have found so far are the fairly recent article in the
ARSC journal about cleaning and re-recording them and the "Final Performance
Report: Audio Preservation -- a planning study" (ARSC/AAA: 1987).

An initial examination leads me to believe they are all laminated (no bare
aluminum as in the post earlier to the list about cleaning).
