Re: [AV Media Matters] stuck on sticking



Please understand this was not my assertion- rather it was to reflect the
attitude toward permanence reflected in the labeling industry's use of this
term for a product with so short a reliabe duration.

I recall being shown a film storage vault many years ago at LC where the
odor of vinegar was all-pervasive and film can labels were coiled on the
floor like a paper snake pit.  Which brings up the issue of testing labels
(not for CDs, one hopes) for adhesion in an atmosphere with a strong acetic
acid component.
