Director of Content Management
Cable entertainment channel

Growing cable entertainment channel is seeking an experienced librarian
to oversee the daily operation of their tape library.
The director will evaluate existing media assets, content management
systems and develop an archiving system for stored
assets.  Direct the reorganization of the program content and raw
footage inventory.  Will also oversee transformation of media
assets to digital format and supervising staff in logging, tracking,
cataloging and managing media assets and clearance
information.

Develop departmental procedures and guidelines regarding content
management.
Position requires an MLS. Entertainment or television industry
experience.
Film archiving and/or tape library supervision with film production
background.  Must have excellent communication, supervisory
and management skills.  Knowledge of Digital Film conversion, Lotus 123
and Lotus SmartSuite applications.  This is a cutting
