Stanford University Department of Music presents REACTIONS TO THE RECORD II, January 14-17, 2009.

This will be a remarkable event not to be missed! Eight concerts, lectures, workshops and panel discussions will deal with the unique legacy of early recordings and the impact they are having on musicians today. Twenty distinguished presenters and performers include Charles Rosen, Joseph Horowitz, Will Crutchfield, Robert Philip among many others. There will be an exciting "improvisation contest" between two remarkable pianists, world premiere of newly discovered recordings and films, and a rare opportunity to hear a virtuoso 'pianolist'.
