Medtner playing his Third Concerto, with Dobrowen and the Philharmonia
Orchesra, was reissued on CD by Testament - SBT 1027 (1993). 
They proffer a 1947 date for recording, and they are usually pretty
reliable.

Now that I have my 65-66 MK export catalog at hand, this recording of 
Medtner himself is not listed, but there is a Soviet recording of the 
3rd listed by T. Nikolayeva with  Svetlanov and the Moscow Radio 
Opera-Symphony Orch on D 09321-2 mono and C 0229-30 stereo.  There also 
is a Soviet recording of the 2nd concerto by A. Shalskes with Svetlanov 
and the USSR State Sym Orch on D 05080-1.   Not having the Medtner 
recording listed for export probably is a good indication that it is the

British recording (or they replaced the murky one with a new one.)
