What an interesting story.
About 12 years ago I've engineered (PA) a Carlos Jobim concert that I've
taped to myself as a reference. Unfortunately the man left our world 3
months later and that recording must have been his last recorded legacy!
The tapes were in my storage for all these 10 years. 2 years ago, a record
company person contacted me - in attempt to buy those tapes off me...
Them guys are tough cookies to deal with.
In that time I have transferred the recording to 24/96 digital, cleaned and
mastered it. I still have the original tapes - and the album is not out yet.
It could be that in 20 years someone will discover these recording in my box
too...
