[ARSCLIST] Flash drives, usw.?!

----- Original Message ----- From: "Martin Fisher" <wmfisher@xxxxxxxx>
Hi Folks,
Hoping that someone on the list has more experience than I with this type of problem.
----
We have a compact flash drive with a speech recorded digitally from our annual meeting. When we try to open the file, it says it is corrupted. Is this filed something you all might be able to access for us? Or, do you know someone we could contact? Or should we just give up? I appreciate your advice. We hoped to print the article in our magazine, so retrieving the file is very important.

Okeh...I'm going to hazard a guess here...?!

A "Flash(Jump) Drive" is a small device which stores (you hope) digital
information in a recoverable form...sam as a "floppy!"

When you plug a "Flash Drive" into your computer's USB port (DO NOT
use the USSR port, which can only accept cyrillic data...?!) you will see a
new drive...for me, my Flash Drive is the "J" drive! I'm guessing that it
SHOULD be possible to use the "disk untilies" (SCANDISK, usw.) on
this new "drive"...?!

Never tried this (yet...?!)...
