Sorry if this message makes the list twice ...

OOPS!!! I screwed up. Rookie mistake.

Turns out, HJSplit needs to see the EXACT same file names. I had changed the files to
blumlein001.flac, etc instead of blumlein.flac.001, etc. Then, when I realized HJSplit needed to see
001, 002, etc at the end of the file I just added those without reverting back to complete original
filenames. Result was HJSplit couldn't properly join the file. STOOPID, on my part. All of this occured to me
while I was out walking. As soon as I got back, I fixed the filenames, re-ran HJSplit and re-ran the
FLAC frontend and the file both joined and decoded to WAV just fine.

THANKS STEVE! I look forward to listening to this on the way to work today. CD cooking as I write
this.

I have tested the links and they work. I joined them with HJ Split and played them directly with WinAmp. No problem. Then I loaded the joined up Flac file into Goldwave. It played directly. Then I saved the file in Goldwave as Wave. That worked perfectly.

I think your problem is with Flac Front End, which is not entirely reliable in my experience. Try playing the Flac file directly in WinAmp, VLC or Super &c.

Try to convert to Wave using Goldwave. Goldwave is shareware but there is a fully functional time unlimited Demo version.

Another possibility is that your download was corrupt. Try downloading again. It doesn't take long.

I thought you had a Mac. The equivalent to HJ Split on the Mac is Split&Concat.

Further report -- joined file will also not play properly in Foobar. Anything beyond about 42% is not recognizable or corrupt.

Hate to ask this, but any way to split the WAV into 20-minute sections and just upload the WAV?

I have now uploaded the Blumlein programme as FLAC.

There are three files to be joined with "HJ Split".

001

003

Put all files in one folder and paste a copy of HJ Split into the folder. Start HJ Split. Tell it to join files. Make sure the window shows the correct folder. The 001 file will be displayed, highlight it and select, then open. HJ Split will now combine the three files into one.
