The harsh reality is that...in POOR countries or even POOR neighbourhoods...
ANYTHING that appears to be reasonably serviceable...or even sold as
"scrap"...
will VERY quickly disappear from physical and/or digital places...!
I don't recall...was the original post about trying to find a new home for
the tapes...
or trying to find an inexpensive/free SOURCE for tapes...?!
If the former...there should be a VERY limited number of operations
(radio/TV
stations, recording studios, usw.) who would/could be possible "foster
homes"
for magnetic tape...?!
