Which is next to impossible to sell...

Yup...and the main reason is that the number of surviving copies still exceeds
the number of people who WANT those copies...!

What I wonder is this...! In another decade or two, the last survivors of the
demographic who actually EXPERIENCED music on 78rpm phonorecords
will have moved on to "That great record store in the sky"...!

This means that the "78-ophilic" demographic will be reduced to a handful of
folks who gained an interest well after the discs themselves had become
obsolete (i.e. the late Jeff Healey, among a very few others...!)...while, as
the old "78 collector" demographic moves on from "senior citizen" to "the
late," more and more collections of 78's will be placed on the market...to
LESS and LESS potential purchasers...!

In fact, by, say, 2050, there may exist one single, solitary 78-ophile, who
winds up purchasing EVERY 78 collection no longer wanted by old
geezers (and the odd geezer-ette...?!)

I only hope this poor soul has a 78 turntable...?!
