----- fuller details are here, because they were indeed sold in 1987 - I was
way out on dates.

The recordings were made on 19 January 1934 at a rehearsal for later
commercial recording at the EMI studios. There are 4 10-inch sides pressed by
EMI on 12-inch vinyl for Symposium. The numbers were Symposium 1027 and 1028.

Notes to the issue says about reproduction on a normal stereo system: "A very
beautiful sound will now be heard but emanating almost entirely from one
speaker whilst that from the other channel is pinch3ed and swathed in heavy
surface noise." Is that what is heard from the CD reissue?

----- Symposium also issued most beautiful sets of Phonotype records on vinyl
pressings from original 78 rpm coarse groove masters featuring Fernando de
Lucia ca. 1920.

Kind regards,

George
