Yeah, could be.  Another broadcasting term that flummoxed me
when I first heard it coming from an NBC feed was a "roser".
"Coming up, a 45 second roser from our correspondent in
London."  It stood for "Report On Scene."

That one I've never heard, but..hey. No idea why I couldn't remember the other term for "slate" and "slug", which is "billboard".
