I wonder if Tom and his brother have a share in Digital Audio, since I too about a year ago bought a CardDeluxe on Tom's recommendation. Seriously, it's a great card, and I've been very happy with it.

PS -- if I were stepping up a grade in cost and quality, Benchmark for
sure based on trusted ears'
recommendations plus my own hearing of material transferred through their
A-D unit. Note the
Benchmark USB D-A device (playback box) has some issues with Mac OSX and
some installs of Vista --

Following Tom's advice, I bought a CardDeluxe last year, and it has proved
to be wonderful, although obviously not applicable to your situation.
