You pays your money, and you takes your choice.  Makes for horse racing, c'est la vie, etc., etc., etc.  Some poeple don't even like Toscanini, because of that lousy Studio 7, or was it 12?
Let's face it, though, we're unlikely to ever hear another Mengelberg, or Ormandy, Kurtz, Mitropolous, Koussevitsky, one could go on----------
