[ARSCLIST] Low-cost external hard drive (was: Lossy compression losing quality)

Name brand 500GB externals can be found regularly at 
www.overstock.com for under $150 (I recently picked up a few of 
the refurbished Western Digital MyBook USB2 external drives for 
a client for $119).  We only use the external drives to shuttle 
data between sites, nonetheless very cost effective.  Other
manufacturers like Buffalo have new 500GB external USB2/firewire
drives that retail (street price) for under $150 at places like
Fry's Electronics.

 which brand hard drive 500GB under $150?  Seagate is about $300.
