Why not just copy them at 1.8 to 2.5 rpm with a Susan B. silver dollar on
top for slightly increased tracking weight?

I copy these frequently. They use anywhere between a 1.8 to 2.5 stylus.
They often repeat or skip. They usually need substantial clean-up once
the
message is retrieved and assembled. They take between 15' and an hour or
so
per side, depending on the play and storage life they led. Much patience
is
required and , sometimes, bad words.
