I copy these frequently. They use anywhere between a 1.8 to 2.5 stylus. They often repeat or skip. They usually need substantial clean-up once the message is retrieved and assembled. They take between 15' and an hour or so per side, depending on the play and storage life they led. Much patience is required and , sometimes, bad words.

Buddy of mine has a WWII-vintage disc sent home from the front, and we're
wondering if anyone knows about such things before we drop the needle.

It says "Salvation Army" on it, measures 6.5" diameter and is white.

Anyone?
