[ARSCLIST] Shamrock 031 and Soft Binder Syndrome (Squeal)

Hi, All,

Have any of you ever had the pleasure of attempting to play Shamrock 031 tape?

Actually, I think 031 is whatever Ampex in Opelika wanted to put in 
the box. Some squeals really bad and does not respond to baking.

Problem is, at the moment I don't have a 1/4-track head for my 
refrigerated machine. I thought while I was building that up, I'd 
query you folks about any other recovery methods you might have used 
for Shamrock 031, AKA the green squealer. It's a black tape with 
black oxide and no back-coating--at least the ones that squeal.
