There is a real need for a software Dolby decoder with adjustments,
because it isn't a simple matter of equalisation.
I once took a look at the math involved. Accurate - not to say
adjustable - Dolby compensation is remarkably difficult in software.
Like stereo/binaural conversion the algoithm is cumbersome and elusive.
