Re: [ARSCLIST] Infinite digital storage

----- Original Message ----- From: "Steven Smolian" <smolians@xxxxxxxxx>
See the current issue of Pop Sci. There is an article on digittal storage, infinite, using cells, an IBM dvelopment. Biological storage.

Hmm-m-m-m-m...

Digital storage, using living cells...?! This means that the peasantry would finally be able
to justify their existence...as living "hard drives"...?! Grab a bum, hook him/her/it up to a
proper set of electrodes and then to your server machine...and "Zip! Zam! G*ddam!"
you have near-infinite storage...!

However...if a "biological hard drive" happens to be an alcoholic, or a "crackhead," will
this affect the accuracy and/or "lifespan" of thus-stored data...?!
