What's still there were the radio production studios. The music studio,
known as Radio Recorders Annex a former RCA Victor facility from the '30s,
was torn down during the '80s or '90s. Radio Recorders Annex may have been
the first independent recording studio in the world that did major label
recording but was no longer owned by a major label. Old timers claim the
Annex was by far the best sounding music studio in Hollywood and a lot of
albums people assumed were recorded elsewhere were actually recorded there.

On Saturday afternoon the Nashville AES Section is presenting the history of
recording in Nashville. I highly recommend this to anybody attending the AES
convention.
