[ARSCLIST] Tom Fine and 78 rpm records



Dear Tom
you expressed several times already your dislike for 78 rpm records.
Doing it again and again everytime the subject comes up, on a list dedicated 
to sound archiving, is tedious. I also find the expressions you are using 
are also rather insulting for people who are interested in 78 rpm records, 
sometimes dedicating their lifes to what is for you a "vastly inferior 
listening experience" or just plainly enjoy listening to them (quorum ego). 
We got your point, you dislike 78 rpm records, this will not stop others 
collecting, listening and enjoying them, no need to harp on it every other 
message. Other people will start listening all the crimes committed on 
magnetic tape, or describe the horrors of mp3, and we will get one of those 
format flame wars that just do not contribute anything useful to a list like 
this.
