As I replied directly to Darlene, I should also mention that if anyone else on the list has interest, I can dub recordings of the following Levant works.
Caprice for Orch.; Charlie Chan at the Opera (ST exc.); Concerto for Piano and Orchestra (2 different performances); Dirge for Orch; March for Orch; Overture 1912; Piece for Violin and Piano; Sonatine for Piano (complete); Poem for Piano, String Quartet (one movement).

There's the pity. He wrote much more music than I realized, according to the USC archive list. I wish I could hear each and every one of them. I have heard those portions of his opera addressed before in the movie, Charlie Chan at the Opera. That whet my appetite to hear his other works.
